Hi Jenni.... good on ya.... this is great. Well done. I agree with Bill in terms of the cropping comment and whilst you say you don't have PS, I'm sure your camera would have come with some basic software (on a disk?) that would allow some basic tweaking of your photos.

Hi Jenni.... full marks for your thought process on this one, however might I offer a suggestion here.... if you had taken this as a portrait (as opposed to landscape) you would have added to the base of the photo in terms of tree trunks and maybe some ground. This would have "filled in" the shot, or given some body to it. The way I see the shot is "a tiny moon with some trees either side".... you saw it as "I liked the trees and the moon was a bonus"..... see the difference in perception? Aaaah the subjectivity of photography

Hi Ann.... 2 great shots..... you.ve done well on both of these. I have never tried the fireworks thing, more from lack of opportunity, so I cannot comment on technique or anything. Both downloads look great..... pretty as a picture.

Hi Bill.... this is a great shot. The clarity suggests that you could crop it a little tighter (some off the left and top)but leave the bird off-centre. This could stop ones eye from roaming all over the tree. Just a suggestion my old friend
